LIFE-LINE FOR PASTORS

According to the statistics we've seen, in the year 2001 alone, more than 15,000 pastors in the United States left the ministry. Why? The most common answers those pastors gave was "burnout" and "congregational abuse." Well, we can't do anything about the congregational abuse, but maybe we can do something about the burnout part. Pastors become burned out because of the requirement to constantly be giving and not receiving. This publication exists so that the pastor, and his family can receive as well. As a family in ministry, we've written from our family to yours. Our intent is to bless you, encourage you, edify you, and even challenge you a little. This is what the Holy Spirit has given us for you, and we hope and pray that it will be a blessing. We're also including teachings in every issue to minister to the leadership you work with. In every issue of Life-Line, you will find teachings to minister to at least some of the leadership in your church; youth pastor, assistant pastor, worship leader, and Sunday school director. We want to minister to them as well, because the more effective they are in their ministry, the more effective you can be in yours. Be blessed, be encouraged. You're not alone in the struggle. There are people who care about you, and what God has called you to do. |
