Welcome to the first issue of Life-Line for Pastors. This publication has been a long time in coming, and personally I am overjoyed to see that it is finally here.

Our purpose is creating this publication is to minister to you, the local pastor. According to the statistics we've heard, last year alone, over 15,000 pastors left the ministry. That's an appalling statistic, especially when you consider how many people there are who aren't in a church anywhere. We hope that the teachings in this and future issues will encourage, edify, and even challenge you to new heights with the Lord.

This publication started out as a Pastor's Letter which we produced to minister to pastors a few years ago. Due to our ministry work in Mexico, we had allowed that to fall by the wayside. However, we started producing the same thing every month for the Mexican pastors we work with. It has been so effective, that we realized the need to renew our commitment to minister to the American pastors we know.

Instead of only restarting our previous work with the Pastor's Letter, the Lord has laid on our heart to expand that into a publication that will minister to the pastor's family, and the leadership of the church.

Life-Line is not a newsletter about our ministry. You will find that we don't fill the pages talking about what we're doing. If you want to know about the work of this ministry, you can ask to receive our e-newsletter. Nor is this publication an advertisement. Although you might see some small ads about any new books we've written, our purpose is not to send you advertising.

Our purpose is to minister to you, to your family, and to the leaders you are working with. We hope and pray that this will be a blessing to you.

For those of you who don't remember who we are, we're the Jewish family that lives in a motorhome. At some time or other we've been in your church, and have probably ministered there. That's how we have your name, and that's why you're receiving this from us.

If we can pray for you, help you, minister to you, or in some other way be a blessing to you and your church, please be sure to contact you. We feel a commitment to pray for the churches we've ministered in. So we have been praying for you. If there is a specific way that we can pray for you, be sure to let us know.
