We believe in one God,
the trinity, expressing Himself to us in three persons, the Father, the Son
(Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. All things were created by Him, for His purpose.
-
We believe that the Bible
in its entirety is the inspired word of God. It is a literal document, and
everything that it records happened just the way it says. Through it, we
can learn to understand the character of God, and our relationship with Him.
It has been given to us to exhort, instruct, and correct.
-
We believe that the Lord
Jesus Christ is the first begotten Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, conceived
by the power of the Holy Spirit. He was crucified, died, was buried, resurrected
by the power of God, and ascended to heaven, where he is seated at the right
hand of God.
-
We believe that as humans
we are born with a sin nature, needing a redeemer. God has provided the one
and only way of redemption through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. When we
accept his subsitiutional death for our sins, we are reborn as new creatures.
-
We believe that our
redemption is total, in all areas of our lives. Not only does it provide
forgiveness from sins, but healing, deliverance, and provision in all areas
of our lives.
-
We believe that Jesus
Christ is coming again to take His church home to heaven. Those who have
accepted Him as savior, both living and dead, will be united with our heavenly
Father. Those who choose to deny Jesus as their savior will be eternally
separated from God, in the place that has been prepared for Satan and his
demons.
-
We believe that the power
of God, in the person of the Holy Spirit is at work in the earth today, changing
peoples lives, healing, and performing miraculous works. Every work that
the Holy Spirit accomplished in the New Testament is currently available
and active in the Body of Christ today.
-
We believe that as Christians
we have a responsibility to allow God to change us into the image of His
Son, Jesus Christ. Although our salvation has not made us perfect, we are
to be becoming perfected.
-
We believe in water baptism
as a sign of our salvation, the baptism of fire to purify us, the baptism
of the Holy Spirit to anoint us, the gifts and fruit of the Spirit as being
part of our Christian walk.
-
We believe that the church
has been given by God a responsibility to society. That is, to heal the sick,
minister to those in need, and carry the Good News of the gospel to every
person.
-
We believe that God,
through His Holy Spirit is speaking to His people today. To accomplish His
work here in this world, we need to hear His voice, and be attentive to what
He has to say to us.
